What does JIGG stand for?
JIGG stands for Japan's International Gamers Guild. It was founded in
1992 by Steve Brown and Kevin a.k.a. greatpowers1, and has been the
latest and longest running English speaking & bilingual gaming group
in Japan.
What is JIGG Kansai about?
JIGG Kansai caters to visitors and residents that live in the Western part of Japan who are interested in playing
games or finding out more about this great hobby. We play a range of
games including - roleplaying games, board games, card games, miniatures
games, traditional games like Chess. We currently meet around twice a
month to play games. We often have a lot of visitors from around Japan
and even from other countries come visit/join us. So feel free to come
check us out.
Why play games?
Games are a great way to socialize, relax, have a good laugh and spend
time with friends. It's a great way to meet people, and it's FUN.
You'll find that through games you'll make new friends and it's
educational. It's a great way to spend time with your friends without
having to pay a lot of money.
I've never played a board game before...is it easy to learn?
Yes! It's very easy. There's nothing to be worried about. We have a
lot of great & friendly people willing to teach you games. We often
have people join us who have never played games before and have come
back for more. It's a lot of fun. It's also a great way to make new
international friends. Please come visit us.
I'm just visiting Japan for a business trip/holidays...can I come to your game days?
Of course! Please do. We have many visitors that stop by. Just
contact us either through Yahoo Groups/Meetup/BGG and if there's a
gaming event on, you're more than welcome to join us. If there's a
favourite game you wish to play, feel free to bring that also.
